Rebranding • Logo • Stationery

The rebranding of Innovations Ferry. Innovations Ferry was a mom-and-pop shop started by a Peruvian immigrant family in New Jersey. They wanted to help customers find the perfect gift for every occasion, along with custom-made stationery and party favors that were made in-house. Whether it was a baby shower, birthday, 1st day of school, wedding, etc., they wanted to be the town’s one-stop shop for that special moment. The store sometimes felt clutter and confused valued customers about what to get with all the options. Soon, they realized that their purpose was destined to be more focused and heartfelt as they started to get an abundance of custom orders for invitations, custom cards, and custom-made party favors. They felt their name didn't quite capture what they were truly passionate about, helping craft memorable moments for every occasion.

This realization led to a pivotal moment in their history: the decision to rebrand as Occasions and focus on turning this one-stop gift shop into a hand-crafted custom stationary shop. We chose to go with warm burnt mustard as the base color and the font Ratio Modern in lowercase to get away from the corporate bank look that Innovations Ferry had throughout the years.

I had the privilege of collaborating with occasions and creating a few multilingual invitations for their clients and an invitation printed with mostly white ink. It was a fun and challenging card to make, but after a few trials, we figured out how to get a beautiful print on brown kraft cardstock using white ink.

I am excited to work together!
